EXCUSE MY POETRY

A collection of Poems by Jason Franklin

While I love to write my blogs, I also love to write poetry.  But for me, poetry is not about writing.  It is not about arguing my opinions.  Instead, it is a way for me to better understand myself, contemplate life's journey, wake-up my spirit and connect to deeper things in the world.  I hope you enjoy this selection of poems.

Cruising smooth down the damp gravel,

The times bled, as if his watch melted to thick maroon.
He was evil, living a life as Lucifer’s disciple

the wise tree

Steamy memories of the past bring back chocolate kisses of the summer sun,
The waves healed my skin as the sun warmed my emotional cuts,
She knew,
She cried,
She left,

love

I believe in love,
Love is bleak with forces of saturation,
Life shows flashes of love and hate but hate,
Hate whisps by Love with ease,
